Bianca Buitendag

Bianca grew up near the beach of False Bay outside of Cape Town, South Africa where she learned to surf at age 8 with her two brothers. In 2005, she moved to the Southern Cape region of South Africa and has had the benefit of surfing some top quality surf that the area has to offer, allowing her to improve her surfing technique.

Competitive surfing and the support of Roxy has allowed her to travel to Europe (France, Portugal and Spain) on various occasions as well as to Hawaii, Los Angeles, Ecuador, New Zealand, Bali, Australia and Brazil.

Bianca qualified onto the ASP world tour in 2013 and finished the year with the highly coveted ‘Rookie of The Year' Award at the ASP awards ceremony. She has shown her aggressive backhand attack is one to watch for as she began the 2014 season with her first tour final at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast event.
